I am John Carson, and I am running for Douglas County Commissioner, District 3.

I have a lifetime of experience as a conservative Republican. I am an experienced executive, a public servant, and a lifelong stalwart of conservative values. I have served as a precinct committeeman, volunteered for many Republican candidates, and have served as an elected member of the Douglas County School Board and the University of Colorado Board of Regents.

It is my honor to endorse John Carson in his campaign for Douglas County Commissioner. John worked on my staff in Washington D.C. for 8 years as legislative counsel. For 4 years he served as Douglas County Board of Education President and CU Regent for 6 years. John’s extensive experience makes him superbly qualified for this position. He is uniquely prepared to meet the challenges Douglas County is currently facing.

The Honorable Wayne Allard, Colorado’s former United States Senator

I know how to humbly serve as an elected official.  I have demonstrated my ability to listen and to respond thoughtfully

I stand firm in my independence as a critically thinking Republican and my values as a conservative.
My proven track record of success throughout my personal life and my professional career makes me the right person at the right time to serve as one of your Douglas County Commissioners.

My experience working in Washington, D.C. as Legal Counsel to United States Senator Wayne Allard (R-CO), serving on the Douglas County Board of Education for 8 years, (4 years as the president), and 6 years as a CU regent overseeing a multi-billion-dollar budget and multiple campuses, provides the preparation to serve our amazing county as your next commissioner for District 3.

As a fiscal conservative,  I understand that property taxes are significantly impacting people in Douglas County and know that low taxes allow families and businesses to thrive and invest in the future. I know that low taxes and free markets allow our communities and our people to prosper and flourish.

Perhaps most importantly, I respect our U.S. Constitution and the amendments that protects our rights.  I have dedicated my life to living the conservative principles enshrined in our Constitution.  As a Marine Corps Reservist, I took an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States and I hold that oath today protecting free speech and Second Amendment rights.

I am grateful for your time as you learn more about my experience and why I hope to earn your vote to fill the seat for Douglas County Commissioner in District 3. I ask for your support and for your vote.
